SADDLEUP PUPPIES

  I prefer spring puppies. It is the perfect time of year to get your puppy outdoors to explore different environments, smells, sounds and meet lots of people and other friendly canines.

  I do not keep waiting lists. It would literally be 100's long as I receive emails daily the year through. What I do accept are 3 deposit families per litter until the litters arrive. This year, I started to accept more deposits just before the puppies arrived. I like to have committed families on board to enjoy the experience of choosing and watching their puppy grow from birth.

Waiting lists show no commitment to myself and my dogs. Some people jump onto as many waiting lists as they possibly can. When I do have a puppy come available for unseen reasons with the family, I am not able to filter through countless applications to review everyone.

  My deposit families have my complete devotion as they should. A deposit guarantees you a puppy from me.

  Families choose their puppy in the order I receive their deposit. That is as fair as I can possibly be. I will certainly help you with this decision.

I do not accept custom orders as I can only sell what God gives me. My puppy applications do ask for your preference and I do my best to accommodate but I find time and time again that preferences change the minute one sees the puppies. Previous preferences fly out the door.

I only ask that you choose which litter you would like to place your deposit. That is then the  litter from which you will then choose your puppy.

  I spend much time with my puppies to prepare them for unpredictable life. We move them to different areas of the farm, expose them to animals and people. They spend much time exploring here which truly develops their character and self-confidence. They also spend much time with my adult dogs who have much to teach them about socialization and play.

  They are not simply raised in the house and underfoot. That is for lazy breeders not willing to do the work and those puppies have learned to eliminate in the home.  Mine are in the home for the first 4-5wks but then they must start to adventure and explore the big world. Their personalities literally change daily as a result of their environment and adventures. Yes, some personality can be genetic but it needs help to develop into a well-rounded individual.

Socialization must begin. This is exposure to sites, sounds, smells, textures and situations in the real world and outside the home.

My adult dogs are very quiet and laid back. They are not crazy and hyper or barky. I just lied. They bark when vehicles drive into the yard. I expect them to be well behaved and they love to please. However, they are always ready for an adventure. 

Our dogs frequent the lake here. They swim, go tubing, ride the jet ski, snowmobile, sleigh, 4-wheeler, etc. They swim out to the kayaks just for fun and ride with us. They also ride in the tractor during field work or on the horse with my daughters.

They are great ambassadors of the breed in public. 

All Mini Americans are not the same. I particularly stay away from the sporting lines. I want to avoid that abundant energy in place of a calm and attentive companion to stay at my side, yet always be ready for an adventure. I also expect them to be calm and quiet when indoors. 

I CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR PUPPY WILL BE THIS PERFECT. YOU HAVE SOME WORK TO DO TO MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.
